Common (Sixth) Sense is a regular feature devoted to practical uses of intuition.  Making intuition simplistic for everyday mystics.

Want to brush up your psychic skills?  You’re in luck because there are a ton of great books out there just waiting for you!

Whether you are looking to become more intuitive or to speak to the dead, here’s my list of highly recommended books to get you growing that sixth sense:

Laura Day is my favorite, hands down.  Her books are simple to understand and she uses her instincts in the most practical way:

Practical Intuition

How to Rule the World from Your Couch

I love Sonia Choquette‘s work as well.  These are my faves from her library:

Trust Your Vibes: Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living

Tune In: Let Your Intuition Guide You to Fulfillment and Flow

The Psychic Pathway: A Workbook for Reawakening the Voice of Your Soul

Looking to learn more about mediumship (talking to the dead)? Rose Vanden Eynden has the information you want:

So you want to be a Medium: A Down to Earth Guide

Ask a Medium: Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions About the Spirit World

I have a fangirl crush on The Psychic Twins.  They are super creative, hip, smart as hell, and they wrote a damn good book on intuition that you’ll want to devour:

Psychic Intelligence: Tune In and Discover the Power of Your Intuition

Penney Peirce‘s workbook makes intuition accessible for all:

The Intuitive Way: The Definitive Guide to Increasing Your Awareness

Enid Hoffman‘s books have been around for ages and they are still great today:

Develop Your Psychic Skills

Expand Your Psychic Skills

When I began studying metaphysics, Eileen Connolly‘s books were my first introduction.  Although this book is out of print, it’s worth adding to your psychic library:

Develop Your Psychic Powers:The Basic Tools of Parapsychology (Connolly Esoteric Guidebook Series (Connolly Esoteric Guidebooks, Vol II)

John Friedlander and Gloria Hemsher‘s basic primer is more focused on auras, chakras and sensing energy but I found it to be very useful:

Basic Psychic Development: A User’s Guide to Auras, Chakras & Clairvoyance

If you are looking to move beyond basic tarot reading into reading the cards intuitively, Nancy Antenucci and Melanie A Howard wrote the book for you:

Psychic Tarot: Using Your Natural Psychic Abilities to Read the Cards

Rebecca Rosen‘s book is modern and down to earth.  Really good, useable stuff:

Spirited: Unlock Your Psychic Self and Change Your Life

This list is by no means complete.  There are many other fine books about intuition and psychic development on the market but these are the ones that I found to be the most user friendly.  Enjoy!

Blessings,

Theresa
