Most of my work these days is over the phone or via email.  But on increasingly rare occasions, a few lucky locals get to visit my funky little crib.  Wanna see how my pad is laid out?  Take a peek:

When you enter, you’re greeted by my vintage votive stand, some Buddhist buddies, and a beckoning cat.  These are three themes that show up in my home a lot.  Although I’m not a religious girl, I love my Catholic heritage and have a fondness for any sort of antique religious art.  I’m also nuts about cats and I have a keen interest in Buddhist philosophy. I make a lousy Buddhist though because my Catholic upbringing gets in the way.  I’m always wanting to know “which god is for what” and that annoys people.  I’ll stick to the saints. At least I know who to pray to when I lose my keys. (And yes, that is a Glade air freshener in the hallway. I dig fresh scents and won’t apologize for it!)

Once you’ve gotten past the door, you go straight into my “office-office.” Here is the place where I do all my writing, bill paying, etc. This is a converted kitchen, hence the sink in the back.  (Notice the holy water font on the bottom left! I keep real holy water in there.)

Bric-a-brac is tucked in every corner.  I love doll heads and little plastic animals. You’ll find them everywhere along with retro toys, tiny tea sets, candles, and pictures of my family.

Here’s where I do my readings.  That purple throne is often filled with a grey tabby, who thinks he owns the place.  (He does.) Nothing makes me happier than sitting at my table, surrounded by my religious art, books, some crystals and pics of my kiddos ‘n kittens.

Saint pictures are everywhere.

I like saints but I also like my rappers.  Rick Ross sits above my desk and reminds me to keep it trill.

And of course, no tour would be complete without a cat-jacking. Here’s my boy, TaoZen taking over my chair. He was NOT amused.

So that’s it. I hope you enjoyed my wee tour of The Tarot Lady Headquarters! I adore my space and I love reading for my many lovely clients in this groovy little haven. What about you?  How is your space laid out?  Share your digs with me on Twitter at @thetarotlady.

Blessings!
