Talkin’ Tarot With is a monthly feature designed to introduce my readers to different tarot readers from our wonderfully diverse community!  Each month, I’ll be asking various tarot readers 3 questions about their tarot philosophy and style, plus pointing you to their websites and blogs so that you can learn more about them!  I like to hand pick tarot readers that I feel are talented and interesting.

One of the best things about the internet is the ability to make connections that often turn into real-life relationships. I’ve had a lovely online friendship with Michele Andres of Mystic Mentor for a few years now and we finally got to meet in person last fall! Because we’ve already been connected through the interwebs, it felt like we were old pals as soon as she walked through the door.

But here’s the thing: it’s not just the online thing that created that vibe. Michele is a warm, sweet person and the kindness pours out of her.  Her presence is strong yet gentle, which makes it easy to feel a trusted connection immediately. This is the kind of energy that lends well to divination and tarot work – but also, for teaching.

If you’re part of her mystical world, you’re may already be aware of the cool things she’s teaching in her ExtraMystical Activities and Spirit Speak communities on Google+. (Her Quid Pro Quid tarot series is a genius way to learn tarot.)   If you want to sharpen your psychic skills and are not over there, get there.  She’s building a great community for budding mystics and intuitives – and she’s offering expert guidance that will help even the novice begin to open up and tune in.

Michele is also working on the Epiphanies Tarot, a gorgeous modern deck that is sure to delight and inspire every tarot fan!  And get this: she reveals a new card every ten days, basically creating a new deck every 780 days, forever.  How cool is that?  Her future offerings will include decks printed unique-to-you with your choice of several options for each card.  Her new Facebook group for Epiphanies Tarot allows you to play along and learn as each card is revealed.

Michele describes herself as “a Divinatrix who loves reading tarot for others and teaching the many ways Spirit speaks, especially through the Supernatural Sign Language contained in a deck of tarot cards.” I would also add wise woman, tarot artist, and friend to that description.

Check out her answers to my questions:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q: What is your philosophy about tarot reading?
Michele: Tarot reading is the most effective way of spiritual communication (or tapping into the knowings of your Higher-Self or your subconscious mind, all the same depending on your beliefs). Each picture is worth a thousand words, signs, symbols, associations, and perspectives. Once your Spirit-Team knows you’re up to or into working within this form of Supernatural Sign Language, your intuition will flow with pops, hits, knowings, and epiphanies as you focus on the cards framed in an informative spread, thrilled to answer your question. It’s amazing! Your Spirit-Team is super excited to give you guidance and advice, but there is one rule: you have to ask. Reading the tarot cards makes it easy on everyone, you and your Team.
Q: How do you feel a client might get the most out of a reading with you?
Michele: The real reason most people get a tarot reading is because they want to know if what they’re hoping for is going to happen or not. The best questions are the ones about how to make wishes come true. Less about what will happen, more about how to make it happen. Tarot readings do offer predictions, touching hard on the probabilities within the field of infinite possibilities, but the real sweet spot is in the guidance, the advice, the how to. That’s why all my intuitive readings include a Prediction plus a Plan.
Q: What is your best piece of advice for an aspiring tarot reader?
Michele: Develop your own, unique Supernatural Sign Language. The Little White Book is a form of Bibliomancy, and it works, but it’s not as deeply intuitive as knowing your own meanings of the signs and symbols of the tarot cards. I say your own because it’s better to interpret each symbol according to your own associations first, then blend in the researched meanings, and finally come to an agreement within your mind and soul as to a decided-upon knowing. Create your own lexicon and build upon it. Soon, you’ll see these signs and symbols everywhere in your life. Songs, movies, real-life situations, experiences, memories, and everything will be tarot cards, and Spirit will Speak to you all the time.
