the hit list all about that batter

This week, I went on a cookie and brownie baking binge.  I get those once in a while (although less these days as I am trying to lose weight).  I come from a long line of good bakers so this is only natural.

But confession time: I’m more about that batter than the actual finished product.

I’ll grab a few spoonfuls, bake the goodies and then fob them off on everyone else.

And no, it has nothing to do with weight control or baker’s guilt.

It’s because I’m more interested in the making than the outcome.  It’s never, every about the finished product, the accolades, or the fame (my brownies are famous around here).

The reward is in the doing, the process, the actual work.

Once I’m done, I’m done and moving on to the next thing.  I’m back to work.

It’s how I roll with my tarot biz as well. I love my work and when the information comes, it arrives like an intuitive ticker tape, rolling through my skull at warp speed.  I’m deeply invested in the present moment and that reading with my client.  And once it’s done, it’s done.

What they do with the reading is up to them.  It’s left the building and I’m on to the next one.

It may be because my main influencers were workaholics that loved their jobs.  Or it may be that my motivations are simple.

I just enjoy doing.

Or eating brownie batter.
