I started my own tarot journey at the tender age of 16. Ten years later, I went pro and have been working full time at this gig ever since. For me, this is a calling that unfolded without a lot of forethought. In fact, I never envisioned that I’d be working as a tarot reader. I thought I’d be doing something else (artist, muse for a rock star, chef, gun moll, etc.). But here I am, decades later and still at it.
How I wish I would have had guidance along the way. I had to learn (the hard way) how to run a business and deal with some of the rather “unique” situations that come up in this profession. It’s been interesting to say the least.
I have noticed that there seems to be a lack of younger people diving into this career. Perhaps I am simply not seeing them – or maybe they are like I was back in the day: uncertain and feeling insecure about their skills (both with tarot and business). I’d like nothing more than to see a bunch of fresh tarot faces hitting the scene and making tarot their full time job.
