Eclipse season comes in with a fiery bang, starting with the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo on August 12th at 1:37 PM ET. Keep in mind, the Nodes just moved into the Aquarius/Leo axis, so this marks the first moment of contact and provides a glimpse of what’s to come over the next eighteen months. Remember: eclipses are like an “in your face” New or Full Moon. They tend to be dramatic, which makes them impossible to ignore. In showy Leo, the fireworks promise to be spectacular this day. Expect a few self-annointed kings or queens to lose their crowns as the people demand new leadership. Revelations come to the surface, prompting a reckoning of sorts. A fall from grace could feel shocking or exhilarating, depending on which side you’re on. Either way, this clears the way for necessary change.

One of Leo’s themes is visibility. Opportunities to take the main stage may arrive for some. If that’s you, don’t sit in the wings. Grab the mic and get out there! It could be the beginning of a new level of recognition. Of course, there might be a few butterflies, but Leo delivers the courage to tame them.

New Moons lay the foundation for new beginnings. However, this eclipse happens on the South Node, which means something needs to come to an end to make room.
