Talkin’ Tarot With is a monthly feature designed to introduce my readers to different tarot readers from our wonderfully diverse community!  Each month, I’ll be asking various tarot readers 3 questions about their tarot philosophy and style, plus pointing you to their websites and blogs so that you can learn more about them!  I like to hand pick tarot readers that I feel are talented and interesting.

talkin' tarot with holly tarot

If the old saying, “the eyes are the window to the soul” are true, then Holly Tarot must have the biggest, most beautiful soul of all.  In fact, those eyes are what initially caught my attention.  Intrigued, I sauntered on over to her online world and found lots to love.  Her magical site is one of the go-to places for tarot lovers, whether you are looking for a reading or trying to master the cards.

Holly is an intuitive tarot reader, spiritual life coach, intuitive empath, and teacher.  Her mission: to provide emotional clarity so that you can shape your future in the very best way possible.  Tarot is her “go-to charm” but she also uses her gifts of intuition to see the path forward through, no matter how foggy things may be at the moment.  She believes that tarot can be used as a motivational tool of encouragement and a way to better yourself.

In the past, she read on television but now she’s creating a prolific presence on You Tube with videos on everything from tarot lessons, weekly card readings, personal growth, deck reviews, tarot card meanings, and more.  Her presence is warm, kindly, and knowledgeable.  While there are plenty of other tarot readers with YouTube channels, hers is one of the best because she’s engaging and her lessons are easy to follow.

Holly reads for clients all over the world via email.  With a busy social media presence, it’s simple for people to find her and work with her, no matter where they are located.  In addition to her tarot services and all those fab video lessons, she also has a free Holly Tarot app that you can download right on your phone!  This app gives you access to her latest videos and blog posts, plus you can order a reading with her in the push of a button.  That part is super handy when you have a quick question and need a “psychic in your pocket” when you’re on the go.  How cool (and modern) is that?

Whether you are looking to learn to read the cards or need a helpful, compassionate reader to guide you through life’s ups and downs, Holly might be your new go-to tarot gal.

Q: What is your philosophy about tarot reading?

Holly: I see tarot as a go-to-charm and a tool that can be used to guide, motivate and encourage us forwards. I see tarot as an opportunity to delve deep, uncover and explore hidden aspects that we may have not yet considered. Tarot provides clarity, insight and an eye opener into different aspects of our lives.

I use tarot as a tool to provide emotional clarity and strategic guidance to help us create the future we want. Its a bit like a sat nav, guiding us forwards, giving us clues along the way and highlighting the pros and cons of different options and pathways we have ahead of us.

I believe we all have the advantage of improving and re-shaping our futures, and love using tarot to help bring us back to the present moment, show us how things really are, and lead us forwards with suggestions, focus points and potential predictions.

Tarot is a self discovery tool, and it can teach us so much about ourselves if we open our minds and allow the cards to really speak to us.

Q: How do you feel a client might get the most our of a reading with you?

Holly: I always advise someone who comes to me for a reading to keep an open mind and relax. I like to tell it how it is and be as direct as I can, offering strategic guidance and clarity into exactly whats going on.

The more open-minded a client is, the easier it is to get across the key messages. Coming for a reading in hope you’ll get the answer you want, isn’t the best idea as sometimes tarot shows you things you don’t want to see, or were even in denial about. An open mind allows you to see the bigger picture, and weigh up the pros and cons of all the information being given to you.

I find that the more specific a client is, the more I can get straight to the issues, and help guide them forwards with emotional clarity and direction.

I always tell my clients, tarot tells you what you need to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear. Enjoy the experience and be prepared for honesty & empowerment!

Q: What is your best piece of advice for an aspiring tarot reader?

Holly: Funnily, enough I have a video on my YouTube channel (see below) offering tips on how to become a confident tarot reader. Some of the tips I share, involve self belief and the importance in trusting in the messages you’re being given. Anyone can read tarot, it just takes practise. You need to trust!

Find a tarot deck that speaks to you, and allow the images to activate your intuition.

Have fun with your tarot deck, and remember there is no right or wrong. Don’t get stuck on what the book meanings give you. Each card has several meanings, so open your mind and let your intuition flow…

Try to connect each card with personal experiences in your own life to deepen your connection with them and make friends with your deck!

Believe in yourself and you’ll grow in confidence over time. Remember that tarot is a never ending journey, you can never ever stop learning with tarot… I’m still exploring new interpretations and messages even now!
