Tarot Advice - Guidance in Every Card: King of Pentacles

This week: King of Pentacles

Take a responsible and mature approach to your finances. Handle your resources with care – and you’ll create great security for the future.

This may be a time where you need to look out for others. Adopt the King of Pentacles’ paternal mindset and make sure everyone is accounted for and safe.

In questions about work, this card favors practical leadership. Create order and structures that allow for greater efficiency. When facing an issue, look for the most obvious and pragmatic solution.

If you’re thinking about investing in a business or loaning money to a loved one, this card says: go for it. Just make sure you’re clear about the conditions so there are no surprises later on.

In some cases, this card may advise to seek someone who has the King of Pentacles’ qualities: grounded, down-to-earth, practical, and responsible. Someone like this could steer things in the right direction.

King of Pentacles Reversed:

Is your work suffering due to laziness or a lack of effort? The reversed King of Pentacles may indicate that you may need to examine your role in this. Failure may be due to you – and no one else. Take responsibility and turn this around.

LOOSEN UP. Don’t be so uptight and conservative that you can’t enjoy your resources – or your life.

The King of Pentacles reversed can also warn of corruption. By any means necessary isn’t always the right way to go. If you’re thinking of taking a ruthless path up the company ladder, this card says: think again.

This reversal may also advise to get the spending under control. If you’ve been blowing money fast, this card says: plug that leak before you damage your security.

You don’t have to take care of everyone who asks for help. If giving to someone else is creating hardship for you, it’s time to practice your no. Generosity to a fault serves no one and creates dependence.

Questions to ponder:

In what way do others rely on you? When it comes to your finances, what is the most practical thing you can do right now? Where are you responsible…and where are you not?

Blessings,

Theresa
