The Hit List - Bend it like bamboo

The planets were sending bat signals in my direction over the past week or so. Pluto in Aquarius crossed over my IC, a transit associated with transformation of the domestic sector, while the Full Moon in Leo suggested closure on something that began six months ago.

Last year, some situations blew up around me and these required careful management of time, energy, and resources. Many times, I felt like a ninja, cloaking myself to avoid detection as I slithered around, looking for the best escape route.

But now, the smoke is clear, the way forward is visible, and the end of the line is in my sights.

Many years ago, I went through a different, but equally tense time. I was in the midst of elder care with a small, but disruptive, group of shit disturbers, who seemed determined to make the situation as unbearable as possible. It took every fiber of my being to manage without breaking. Instead, I became like bamboo – flexible to a point, but resilient. Once every loose end tied up, I washed my hands and walked away.

This past year proved I am harder to break than the other side might have thought. I know I’m not indestructible, but I’m far less likely to bend. Instead of bamboo, I’m concrete or marble, hard substances known to stand the test of time. Is it any wonder so many ancient buildings crafted in those mediums are still there, even though some wear and tear is visible?

In a few days, this ordeal will be over, but it won’t be the last time I’ll need to shore up, stand tall, and flex my power. But one thing I know for sure: I’ll be less likely to bow, crack or break at that point. I’ll be a diamond.

Pull a Tarot card. But instead of flipping open the little booklet to find out what the card means…pause. Don’t touch that book.
