The Hit List - That tarot reading was all wrong

Many years ago, I received a tarot reading that blew me away. The reader was an older German woman and it was obvious that she knew her stuff. I was so impressed, I booked a reading for my partner. But he had the opposite experience. According to him, she didn’t get one thing right. “That tarot reading was all wrong.” She was not the right reader for him.

Many years ago, a client raved about a medium. She invited me to join her and a group of women for a session. We took turns and everyone came out of the reading, tears in their eyes, raving about what the medium revealed. My experience was different. There was no connection. She assumed I was a stripper in a biker bar and other such nonsense. She was not the right reader for me.

Many years ago, I had a reading with an astrologer that made my jaw drop. Of course, I had to take my bestie to see him. She doesn’t like astrology. Not one bit. After we walked out, she claimed it was “bogus” and a “waste of money.” Despite his skill and experience, it wasn’t right for her. She wasn’t open.

Many years ago, I had a reading with a new tarot reader. She was so nervous she was unable to read for me. From what I hear, she’s doing great now. It just wasn’t the right time for her – or me.

Many years ago, I got a tarot reader because my love life was in turmoil. I made different life decisions than the reader suggested, so it looked like her prediction was wrong. Twenty years later, her prediction was uncannily accurate. It was a great reading but the timing was off – due to my decisions. It was the right reader but not the right time.

Many years ago, I gave a reading to a woman who loved it. She recommended me to her friends. One of them hated her session. Because she thought I sucked, she made sure to blast me to anyone who considered getting a reading with me. I was not the right reader for her.

Many years ago, I had a Lenormand reading. Nothing resonated. I felt the reading was too negative. To this day, I struggle to understand Lenormand. The reader was talented, but the divination system wasn’t right for me.

You can be a skilled intuitive and still deliver a dud. It happens. You can be very excited to work with a reader, only to feel disappointed with your experience. That happens too.

The moral of these stories: some people are incredibly talented tarot readers/astrologers/Lenormand readers/mediums/psychics, etc but may not work for you. If “that tarot reading was all wrong,” it might be the wrong fit. Period.
