The Hit List - Through a Tarot Lens recap Theresa Reed and Danielle Cohen

Last week, I was getting a break from the Wisconsin gloom and enjoying the sunny skies of Los Angeles. It was nice to be moving about without a bulky parka for a change! What was I doing in Los Angeles? I was teaching a tarot-inspired photography workshop with my friend, the super talented Danielle Cohen. Daniell has been my photographer the last few years and I adore working with her so it was only natural that we combine our mutual loves of photography and tarot into a fab event!  Our event was called Through A Tarot Lens and it was uh-mazing! Here are some pics from the event:

We guided the students through tarot and photography exercises. Our goal: to find oracles in everyday life and to look at the world through a tarot + photographer’s filter.

The picture below was my interpretation of the Knight of Cups. It would have been too easy to take a pic of my husband. Instead, I went searching for the water element. I found this small pond with rocks. The rocks reminded me of the mountains in the Knight of Cups and the water reminded me of the river. The darkness of the pond made me think of emotional depth. The question I asked myself is “how deep do you want to go?”

This is the gorgeous crew of soul-ful women that showed up for the event. Danielle and I were in awe of their creativity and spirit. I hope to run this event again and if we do, please come. You may be surprised at what you discover about yourself through the tarot lens.
