Do you take regularly scheduled vacations?

Is there at least one day a week where you do nothing but relax?

Do you even take time off for lunch?

Or does this sound more like you:

You’re working in your business round the clock.

Your cell phone is always on so you never miss a text or email.  It even pings you at night when you are trying to sleep.

Vacation?  You can’t remember the last time you had one.  Oh, and you don’t think you could take one anyways because you need to be “on” 24/7.  You know…in case someone needs you because you’re always needed. Ahem.

News flash: You can’t go on like that.

At some point, you need to rest.

You need to take a break from the busyness of running a business.

A day off once a week.

A week off once a year.

A coffee or tea break in the middle of the day.

You need this and your business needs you.

Doing is great but if you are doing doing doing without balance, everything suffers.

If you do not take the time to chill your brain cells, you risk not being fully present for your clients.

You’ll show up much better if you make space available to rest, to create, and to JUST BE.

(PS taking time off makes you more creative! BONUS!)

If you feel guilty about taking time for you, let mindset that go.

Begin carving out time in your day, your week, your year for YOU.

Create a schedule right now that gives you white space.  Mark it off on your calendar.

And then honor those dates.

Breathe.

Rest.

Be.

Thrive.

This is the path to a balanced and successful career.

Blessings,

Theresa
