New Moon in Capricorn

Tonight at 9:17PM EST, there is a gorgeous New Moon in Capricorn. New Moons are ideal for setting intentions and starting new things. In disciplined Capricorn, the mood is serious business. Which means: this is an excellent day for getting down to business in every area of your life. With the Sun, Saturn and Pluto also in Capricorn, this is a POTENT Moon, full of lots o’ power.

Begin by taking stock of where your life is at the moment. Are you where you want to be? Are your goals clearly defined – and are you moving steadily towards them? How are you taking ownership for your life…or not? In what ways are you taking repsonsibility?

Ponder those questions and then begin to set a clear structure for what you want to achieve. Put those goals on paper. Plan out the details and steps you need to take. Set your intentions and don’t be afraid to be as ambitious as you want (Capricorn LOVES bold, determined visionary folks). This is the first act towards manifesting your dreams. This particular New Moon is also marvelous for organizing. Create those to-do lists. Organize your schedule and neaten up your desk. Begin home or work projects now. Get your financial picture in order. Anything you begin today can get you off on the right foot because the New Moon in Capricorn is a strong-willed one. (Yes, even that diet and exercise regime can progress now.)

Lastly, the New Moon in Capricorn is auspicous for entrepreneurs. Organize your office. Set rules and boundaries. Take on a leadership role. Launch your signature offering today (or in the two weeks leading up to the Full Moon). Think BIG and don’t play small. Above all, get super-duper clear on what you want to achieve in the upcoming year and put those goals somewhere where you can see them every single day. That focus will steadily move you towards the finish line.

Capricorn’s symbol is the goat, who is able to climb even the most daunting mountains. What you want is totally possible. It’s up to you to remain focused on what you wish to achieve and to continue on until the top of the mountain has been reached. Today, your climb up begins.
