Talkin’ Tarot With is a monthly feature designed to introduce my readers to different tarot readers from our wonderfully diverse community!  Each month, I’ll be asking various tarot readers three questions about their tarot philosophy and style, plus pointing you to their websites and blogs so that you can learn more about them!  I like to hand pick tarot readers that I feel are talented and interesting.

Talkin' Tarot with Lindsay Mack

I first learned about Lindsay Mack through her weekly tarot draws for The Numinous, one of my favorite new age sites. Her insightful, soulful readings intrigued me because they were unlike any other I have read before. Naturally, I needed to know more so that led me to her podcast, Tarot for the Wild Soul. I was blown away.

Lindsay is coming at the cards through a holistic way and I feel that in this day and age, it’s needed. It comes as no surprise to see that she is in high demand. Her work with tarot provides a healing balm for those who are looking to discover their life purpose or deepen their connection with spirit.

In addition to her podcast, she also runs Soul Tarot School, which she describes as “an online center for workshops, courses and retreats, all to support an exploration of the Tarot as a mirror to our truth, and to the present moment.” If you’re lucky, you can also catch her at a live event or retreat. She has hosted many over the years in various parts of the country, including an upcoming retreat at Kripalu.

Can’t make it to a live event? Check out The Sacred Wheel, a monthly subscription with videos, rituals, Tarotscopes, and more. This is a sweet deal – and a great way to connect with her and tarot!

Recently, I’ve had the honor of talking with Lindsay about Tarot For Trauma on my Tarot Bytes podcast. I was so impressed with her thoughtful answers. You will be too.

Even better: she sat down to chat with me again! You’re welcome.

Q: What is your philosophy about tarot reading?

Lindsay:  My philosophy about Tarot reading is that it is here to invite us into the present moment, into our soul’s truth. I also believe that every card (even the scary ones) bring us medicine for our growth and expansion. If we are willing to drop into considering them from that perspective, it can change our lives.

Q: How do you feel a client might get the most out of a reading with you?

Lindsay: They just have to show up. If they are open, willing, and doing their work, even better. I truly believe that if I am sitting with someone, giving them a reading, it’s not an accident. They just need to be present, and whatever needs to be shared will come through perfectly.

Q: What is your best piece of advice for an aspiring Tarot reader?

Lindsay: Practice. Step out of your comfort zone, play, don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and learn on your feet. There is no such thing as wrong! You truly can’t become intimate with the Tarot unless you get to know it, so don’t be afraid to share your gifts.
