The Hit List - Things I am no longer doing

Ah, yes. The to-do list. I have one. Actually, I have multiple to-do lists. I’m a Gemini, so I always need more than one of everything. I’ve written somewhere about my to-don’t list, which is nothing more than all the things I am no longer doing/signing up for. For some reason, I cannot find that…so it’s a sign that I need to update!

A to-don’t list is just as important as your to-do list. It spells out all the stuff you are no longer entertaining. As a sixty-year-old woman, this is what I’m scrapping:

:: Staying out late. Yes, I have a bedtime. I cherish my sleep. If you ask me to attend a concert or other such thing that interferes with my sleep, it’s a hard no.

:: Speaking of events, I am no longer interested in being among crowds. I’m a germaphobe and an introvert. ‘Nuff said.

:: I won’t be spending an ounce of my energy trying to reason with unreasonable people. If you have mean-spirited beliefs, I’m not interested in hearing your point of view or defending mine. Bye!

:: I am no longer giving grace to certain family members who continue to uphold harmful systems of oppression. Get with the program or get stepping!

:: I’m done with uncomfortable clothing or shoes. I gave that up a long time ago, but wanted to state that out loud for no damn reason at all.

:: I’m no longer tolerating fake friends. For the record: I see right through these phonies. But I’m polite, so I won’t bother informing them. I prefer to let frenemies think they’re winning. Meanwhile, I’m unbothered and moisturized as they say in some parts.

:: I won’t finish boring books. Why did I ever feel I needed to? Shaking my damn head.

:: Not interested in embarking on guilt or power trips. Meh. And pity parties? RSVP NO.
