The Hit List - You can go now, Mercury retrograde

Let me start out by saying this: I have six Mercury-ruled planets in my astrology chart. SIX, people.

Which means every time a frigging Mercury retrograde begins rolling around in my orbit, I feel that sucker. In fact, the shadow period (the weeks before) starts alerting me that something is up. Like PMS, there is an energetic force field that cramps my style before it even kicks in. (Pre-Mercury Syndrome?)

While I’ve learned how to deal with this phenomenon, that doesn’t mean it’s ever a walk through a cupcake forest. Some transits are better than most but this last one felt like a perpetual cosmic test.

It was in Aries, the passionate fire-starter. Don’t get me wrong – I like Aries everything. Heck, if you have a Moon in Aries, we’re gonna get along like Mary and her little lamb. But Mercury retrograde in Aries? Mmm….not so much.

This particular one brought out the nasty side of Aries: aggressive, selfish, entitled people with a good dose of road rage idiot drivers to boot.

Which meant my peace-loving nature got tripped up until I had to put the hammer down, hard. This happened in my business, in online spaces, and on the road! This is NOT how I like to roll but when push comes to shove, I’m a pushy broad.

Tomorrow, this retrograde will be coming to a close. No doubt the weeks that follow will bring greater ease. But frankly, like a guest that shows up without a bottle of wine and then proceeds to raid your fridge and leave the crumb droppings all over the kitchen floor before clogging your toilet, this Mercury retrograde has worn out its welcome around here.

It can go now.

While I don’t like to blame the planets for everything that goes wrong in my world, this time, I’m calling out Mercury retrograde and showing it the door. Tomorrow, it’s gone and all I can say is good riddance and don’t let the astrological door hit you in the arse.

After this Mercury retrograde, that’s my mantra. ^^^
