The Hit List - Dinner with the Stars

Last week, I hosted Dinner with the Stars, a 12-course astrology-inspired pop-up restaurant event with Ball ‘n Biscuit Catering. It was a smashing success – and a whole lotta fun. Here are some pics from the event!

The theme was 70’s gear so I wore this cool jumpsuit – and struck my best Saturday Night Fever pose. Which everyone thought was my attempt at The Magician.

In case you were curious, here is the menu:

Nibbles – marinated olives, rosemary chipotle nuts, sea salt crackers

Aquarius – An aperitif with herbal based gin, creme de Violette, butterfly pea powder, lemon juice, pear and grapefruit bitters foam. The drink came with two small glasses so you could mix it at the table – and watch the colors change! COOL AF.

Gemini – A light, airy parmesan cheese puff with herbs

Capricorn – Mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese and spinach

Virgo – Herbed biscuits with hand-rolled butter and honey (I could have eaten that whole stick of butter!)

Libra – Kale salad with cranberries and almonds (gotta have some veg in there to balance the menu out!)

Cancer – Crab bisque

Aries – Moroccan lamb meatballs with pomegranate sauce

Pisces – Salmon escabeche with carrot relish

Taurus – Beef tenderloin with parmesan peppercorn sauce

Sagittarius – Ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms, bison, and tomato relish

Leo – Lion’s head meatballs with curry sauce (the meatball was made from turkey – no lions were harmed in this menu)

Scorpio – Death by Chocolate – Mexican chocolate mousse with chili, whipped cream, and cinnamon almond cookies (pictured below):

It was SO much fun. I’m now dreaming up a vegetarian Yoga inspired menu for the future…
