little mysteries such as goats in trees

I’m a curious gal. The kind who, as a kid, was always asking the annoying question “why?”  (Because I said so was the typical response.)

I want to know things.  I want to solve mysteries! Maybe that’s why I am drawn to tarot and astrology.

But sometimes, even these tools don’t help.  Because, let’s face it: there are some mysteries the mystical arts can’t solve. Sometimes only the internet can provide answers for those big questions.

Questions such as:

What does the inside of a squirrel’s nest look like?

When did Saint Bernards start wearing collars with barrel flasks?

Do geysers ever dry up?

How are bowling balls made?

Why do cats make funny faces when they sniff another cat’s butt?

What is with the weird antenna on the Nabisco logo?

Can goats climb trees?

These are the riddles that keep me up at night and must be answered.  MUST. (What the heck did I do before the internet? Oh yeah…trek to the library to find an encyclopedia and cross my fingers.)

What questions are piquing your curiosity lately?  Hit me up on Twitter and tell me: @thetarotlady

Settling in to watch a mystery: Don’t Breathe.  Should be called “Don’t Bother.”  Was okay.  Meh.

Other stuff:

The 2017 Desire Map Planner Collection is here! It’s a radically different way to plan your day, because it puts your soul on the agenda.  I LOVE my Desire Map Planner – been using it all last year and it’s been so, so useful. This year’s collection is gorgeous as can be. (Psst…the astro-dates are by yours truly!)

37 of the best blogging tips and business tricks from Sarah Von Bargen.  This lady knows her stuff!

In outrageous news: Sexual assault victims are being turned away from hospitals.

Alicia Keys stopped wearing make up.

But if you’re like me and need makeup (ha ha), you need to check out what’s coming to Sephora this fall.

I loved One Year Wiser and I’m thrilled that there is a One Year Wiser Gratitude Journal coming out!

Marie Claire has a list of questions to ask on a first date. (My main question would be: do you watch Game of Thrones?)

We’re all going to miss Gene Wilder (psst he and I shared the same birthday!).  Vanity Fair wrote a great piece on him.

Gabby Bernstein has a new book coming out this month: The Universe Has Your Back.

What I’m Grateful For:

Fresh salmon and potatoes

Soundtrack for 9/3/16:

Young Thug “Memo” – I think Young Thug is one of the best rappers out there.

Blessings,

Theresa
