The Hit List - Old Girls’ Weekend

I’m off this weekend for a blissful three days with two of my favorite gals. I’ve never attended a “slumber party” before, so it’s a first. (The recent weekend with my lil sis doesn’t count.)

It’s hard to tear me away from the office, but this was long overdue.

What are our plans? I’m not sure. Leaf peeping. Resting. Sitting around. The idea of unstructured time feels exciting and nerve-racking. But when you’re with women you’ve known for over thirty years, you also know you’ll have a good time no matter what you’re doing.

Because life is short, we’re getting old, and there’s no time like now to spend time doing nothing together.
