HOT TIP: Are you clear on your business policies?  I’m talking about: what kind of things you will and won’t put up with?  If not, you’re going to have a lot of trouble in your business because no rules means people will walk all over you. Get clear on what your business boundaries are – and then put them right ton your sight where people can see them clearly.  This way, if you come across someone who tries to push past your boundaries, you can simply point them to the policy page.  Drama averted!

Newsletters to read: My tech gal, Alison Monday, has a great newsletter on all things tech/web/seo.  She doesn’t clutter up your inbox often but when she shows up, there is value in every email.

Listen up:  In October Talking Shop is focused on books – writing, publishing, dealing with critics – all that jazz.  If you ever wanted to write a book, do listen in to this one.  Details right here.

On my beside reading stack: In the Company of Women: Inspiration and Advice from over 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs by Grace Bonney. Super inspirational!

Don’t forget: I’ve got a fantastic e-course for mystical entrepreneurs who struggle with the money aspect of their biz.  Check out GET IN CHARGE. Because there is nothing wrong with being a prophet who enjoys making a profit. Also: you can pick my business brain any time you like with my (inexpensive) and speedy email business mentoring service.
